On the morning of October 15, 2018, the golf athletes were dressed in their warm golf uniforms as they competed in the cold, frigid air. Shannon Chin, Jenna Rome, Avin Inlow, Haleigh Spray, Abyy Heimerman, and Annie Wainger traveled to Emporia to compete in the 3-A State Golf Tournament. The TMP girls golf team placed sixth overall with a score of 447. Shannon Chin ’19 ended up getting 4th overall, with a score of 87. Jenna Rome ’20 golfed a 115, Avin Inlow ’19 got a 118, Haleigh Spray ’20 scored a 131, and Annie Wasinger ’21 golfed a 139. Unfortunately, Abby Heimerman ’20 was not able to compete due to sickness. “There were many favorite events this season,” Haleigh Spray ’20 says. “It was fun to recap with many of the girls that I previously played with from other schools and making memories with my teammates.” Congratulations to the golf girls this season on getting 6th place at state, and a special congrats to Shannon Chin and Avin Inlow for having an amazing last season of golf at TMP. Great job girls!
