One small point makes a huge difference; in fact, it was one small point that carried the Thomas More Prep Marian girls cross country team to the state tournament. “We were all so excited! I’m so proud of my team and how far we’ve come this season!” exclaimed Grace Pope ‘21 beaming ear to ear. The team consisted of Abby Rueschhoff ‘21, Kyleigh Allen ’21, Emily Schippers ‘19, Julia Werth ‘19, Grace Pope ‘22, Kiara Urban ‘19, Adell Riedel ‘20, and the alternates were Makinsey Schlautman ‘21 and Emily Schulte ‘19. The girls came out in second place overall, thirty points behind Scott City. Pope went on to medal, finishing 17th at the state tournament in Lawrence at KU Rim Rock Farm with a time of twenty-one minutes flat. Congratulations on an amazing season Lady Monarchs, the student body is so proud of you!
