On October 6, the Monarchs Boys Cross Country team won the Mid-Continent League (MCL) meet, but recent history tells us this isn’t a surprise. Since joining the MCL, the Monarch boys’ team have won every single league meet.

This year, the Monarch boys team won with a score of 19, beating second place Norton who scored 26.  Senior Trevor Pfeifer placed second with a time of 18.17.93.  Sophomore Paul Brull placed fourth, senior Mark Loftus sixth, and sophomore Jared Meyers seventh.

The Monarch girls took third with a score of forty-five, behind Norton and Trego, who scored 22 and 26 respectively. Sophomore Julia Werth placed sixth with a time of 21.56.88.
